24/7 accident line & towing
Tesla or EV damaged? We follow the manufacturer's procedures for high-voltage safety and aluminum panels, and tow it free on a flatbed for collision repairs.

Tesla & EV Body Repair
Electric vehicles look like any other car from the outside, but the repair is different underneath. The high-voltage battery sits in the floor and high-voltage cables run through the body, so the system has to be made safe before any cutting, welding or pulling, and the battery area is inspected after a hit to the underside or the sides.
Many EVs also use large aluminum castings, aluminum panels and high-strength steel. These materials cannot be heated and straightened the way older steel panels were, and many structural parts must be replaced rather than repaired. Manufacturers publish detailed procedures for exactly that, and following them is what keeps the car's crash protection and the battery's protection intact.
Most EV work we see in Los Angeles is the same as on any car: rear-end hits in freeway traffic, bumper and fender damage from parking structures, scraped doors and quarter panels. What changes is how carefully each part has to be removed and refitted, because EVs pack sensors, cameras and wiring into the bumpers, mirrors and door panels.
We repair and replace bumper covers and reinforcements (see bumper repair), fix door and fender dents with paintless dent repair when the aluminum and paint allow it (see dent repair), and handle structural damage on the frame bench with measurement against factory dimensions (see frame repair).
Tesla and other EV makers use colors that are hard to match well, including multi-coat reds, deep metallic blues and pearl whites. A panel sprayed straight from the paint code can look right in the booth and wrong in daylight. We read the actual color on your car with a spectrophotometer, mix it by computer, spray test cards to compare against the car, and blend the new color into the neighboring panels. EVs rely heavily on cameras and sensors for parking, lane keeping and driver-assistance features. Many of them sit in the bumpers, side mirrors, fender repeaters and windshield area that take the damage in a collision. After repair we reinstall each component in its correct position, check that the car reports no faults and confirm the camera views before you pick up the car.

Step by step
EV repairs are often more expensive than repairs on comparable gas cars because of parts, materials and procedures, so the estimate and supplements need to be thorough. We write the estimate, photograph hidden damage once panels are off, meet the adjuster and send supplements so the repair follows the procedure instead of being cut short. We also coordinate a rental car while yours is in the shop.
Your insurer may suggest a shop from its own network, but it cannot require it (California Insurance Code §758.5), so your EV can come straight to us and we handle the rest. Read how we handle the insurance claim, or call (213) 282-8201, 24/7, if you've just had an accident.
Most EVs should not be towed with their drive wheels turning on the road, because that can damage the motor and the drivetrain. We move EVs on a flatbed tow truck, with the car in transport or tow mode where the manufacturer requires it. Towing from the accident scene to our Arts District shop is free for collision repair clients; see 24/7 towing.

Yes. Your insurer cannot require a network shop, so your Tesla can be repaired with us. What matters is that the shop follows the manufacturer's repair procedures for your car, which we do.
Electric vehicles should be moved on a flatbed so the drive wheels do not turn on the road. We tow EVs on a flatbed, and towing from the accident scene is free for collision repair clients.
Parts availability, aluminum and high-strength steel procedures, high-voltage safety steps and sensor checks all add time compared with a similar repair on a gas car. We give you a written timeline with the estimate and keep you updated.
We read the actual color on your car with a spectrophotometer, mix the paint by computer, test-spray it against the car and blend it into neighboring panels, which is how multi-coat and metallic EV colors are matched so the repair does not show.
Yes. Collision repairs on electric vehicles carry the same lifetime warranty on collision repairs, valid for as long as you own the vehicle.
